ISSAC DELGADO Y SU ORQUESTA

February 10, 2025

Friday, July 25, 2025 at Tempo Arena:
"Tempo Arena Via La Habana"
11pm: ISSAC DELAGADO Y SU ORQUESTA + guests (Haila ...)

Since 1994, with its "Cuba Special" featuring Vocal Sampling and Cuban pianist Alfredo Rodriguez (who died in Paris in 2005), Tempo Latino has always sought to program the leading figures in Cuban music, and to showcase up-and-coming artists...

Since then, they've come in droves... From several generations of artists or musical trends. Alfredo, Compay, Pio, Celia, Israël ''cachao'', Ibrahim (Ferrer), Adalberto, Tata (Guines), Orlando, Anga, Félix (Miranda), Olga, Juan (Formel)... Reynier (Silegas) and are always present in the Artists' gallery, at every festival.

For the evening of July 25, an artist from their extended "Buena Vista Social Club" family will finally be present for his1st at Tempo, the "troubadour" Eliades Ochoa, leader of the Patria cuarteto, an emblematic figure of Cuban "SON". Over the course of his long career, Eliades has collaborated with many international artists, including Manu Dibango, Vieux Farka Touré, Charlie Mussewhite, Ry Cooder (Buena Vista), Bob Dylan...''I'd like Eliades Ochoa to be remembered as someone who preserved the sound, the power of the sound, while adding a kind of joy to it. I want that joy to be heard. After fifteen albums and Grammy Award nominations, Eliades will be back with his musical family to share his joy for the 30th anniversary of Tempo Latino and the 25th anniversary of Buena Vista.

For Issac Delgado, who returns to Tempo for its 30th edition to present his new album "Mira como vengo", there's one basic principle for Cubans of his generation: "Without SOUND, there's no Salsa". Issac is the "Class" of the great Soneros, charisma, simplicity and elegance, generosity and respect for his audience. Firmly rooted in his musical roots and the emblematic artists of Cuban music - Benny Moré, Poncho Alonso, Miguelito Cuñi, the great Celia Cruz and so many others - Issac keeps this musical heritage within him, and has always kept it evolving through his creations, encounters and international artistic collaborations over the past 30 years. What better way to share an evening between Santiago and Havana?

Take advantage of this evening at the Tempo Arena to immerse yourself in La Habana
