MUSIC

This workshop is aimed both at adult beginners wishing to discover salsa percussion, and at experienced dancers seeking a musical understanding of this style of music. To perform Latin dances well, it's important to understand how the music is constructed and which musical reference points to use: dance steps are intimately linked to the music and its various styles.

This workshop has two main focuses: an introduction to percussion and singing, for children and teenagers. It has two objectives:
- To introduce them to rhythmic diversity, by letting them experiment with different Afro-Cuban instruments.
- To awaken their sensibilities through singing and the Afro-Cuban Latin language.

The aim of this workshop is to introduce musicians of different levels and backgrounds to Latin music, working on a varied repertoire accessible to all. The team of instructors is made up of professional musicians who have been working together for over 15 years and share a solid pedagogical experience. The course is aimed at musicians with or without knowledge of this musical style: bassists, percussionists, brass players, string players, pianists and other harmonic instruments, as well as singers.

*L’inscription comprend les 6 jours de cours, la participation au concert de fin de stage et l’accès à tous les concerts scène des Arènes (du jeudi au dimanche inclus).
*Possibilité d’hébergement collectif gratuit au centre de vacances de Lagraulas à 3 kms (véhicule indispensable).

Le stage multi-instrumental est complet pour l’année 2025.

TEMPO LATINO dance workshops are supervised by a team of certified teachers who will do their utmost to enable you to progress in your discipline over the three days of the festival.
