TEMPO LATINO 2024
February 17, 20242024 ! The 29th edition promises to be "copious" and "lively", always surprising...
This year's edition will feature a fine array of brass instruments, lots of brass (Los Metales), emblematic and moving voices, talented soloists...
As has often been the case over the years, there'll be rhythms from Cuba, Latin America, North America and Europe, but there'll also be, as has always been the case since 1994, PERFORMANCE!
1st edition for artist Emmanuel Michel, who signs the TEMPO LATINO 2024 poster
Painter - Sculptor - Engraver, Emmanuel Michel was born in 1970 and lives and works in Toulouse.
Since the 1990s, he has devoted himself to painting, drawing, engraving and sculpture. He travels the world to meet people. On canvas and paper, he recounts their daily lives, their cultures, their rituals, and the natural and urban landscapes in which they live. Using clay, bronze and metal, he brings to life his encounters from the ends of the earth. His work is resolutely focused on people in their daily lives, with their culture, their rites, their simplicity.
He has held numerous exhibitions in France and abroad, in galleries, museums, international contemporary art fairs, cultural centers, etc.... He regularly collaborates with various magazines, participates in documentaries, and carries out public commissions...
Some fifteen books chronicle his work (most recently Sculpture 30 ans de créations).
